The first Green Peridot Salon opened in Tallahassee, Florida in the summer of 2002. Over the last four years Green Peridot has grown tremendously. Co-founder, Daniel Lewis, and his partner, Kimberleigh Routen, opened the Frisco, Texas location with a full staff in the fall of 2006. Green Peridot hopes to continue its pattern of growth over the coming years.

Green Peridot Salon strives to provide a guest experience full of energy and fulfillment for the mind, the body, and the spirit.

Tara

Tara has been in the hair industry since 1999. She went through advanced training at the Aveda Institute in Chicago and has worked at high end salons such as Avalon Salon and Spa in Deerfield, IL and Van Michael Salon in Atlanta, GA. When asked about her first inspiration to do hair she says, “I have loved everything beauty since I was 2 years old.” What does she like about working at Green Peridot? “Everyone is so unique and gifted, I can always learn something new from other stylists!” Her favorite Aveda products are Damage Remedy Shampoo™ and Conditioner.

Thai

Thai has been in the hair industry for over seven years. He went through training at Ogle and had advanced training with the Yuko texture straightening system. His inspiration to do hair was the art of making people beautiful. He likes working at Green Peridot because all of the staff is so friendly! His favorite Aveda products are the Smoothing Fluid, Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner, and the Hang Straight Hair Lotion.

Betti

Betti has been in the hair industry for four years. She went through training at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. Her first inspiration to do hair was her Mother, who had her touching up her roots when she was twelve. She loves being at Green Peridot because it is like being with family. Her favorite Aveda product is Brilliant Spray Shine.

Katie Page

Katie has been in the hair industry for three years. She went through Aveda Master’s Studio training in St. Petersburg, FL. Katie was first inspired to do hair when she tried to give herself a haircut at the age of five. Her favorite thing about working at Green Peridot is everyone working as a team to ensure that every client has a wonderful experience. Her favorite Aveda product is Damage Control Spray.

Katie Tellor

Katie has been in the hair industry for over five years. She trained at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and is certified in Cinderella Hair extensions as well as CHI thermal straightening. She trained with Adrian the Dreamweaver, one of the top hair extention professionals in the nation. She was first inspired to do hair in high school when she started doing her best friends’ hair. Her favorite thing about Green Peridot is the family atmosphere among the stylists and having the best clients in Dallas! Her favorite Aveda product is the Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant.

Erin

Erin has been in the hair industry for three years. She went through Aveda Master’s Studio training in St. Petersburg, FL. She also trained with make-up artist James Ryder. She was first inspired to do hair by her sister and hair stylist. Her favorite things about Green Peridot are the staff, owners, and clients! Her favorite Aveda product is Air Control!

Holly

Holly has been in the hair industry for over two years. She went through the Masters Program at the Aveda Institute in Tallahassee, FL. She was first inspired to do hair by her Grandmother, who owned her own salon. Her favorite thing about Green Peridot is the positive energy and talented professionals on the staff! Her favorite Aveda product is the Volumizing Tonic!

Todd

Todd has been in the hair industry for over 13 years. He trained at the Ogle School of cosmetology and has worked at salons both here in Dallas and in New York. He was an educator with Redken and is considered a Men’s hair specialist. His first inspiration to do hair was the opportunity to express his creative abilities. His favorite things about Green Peridot are his clients and co-workers. He says that picking a favorite Aveda product would be like picking a favorite child.

Barbara

Barbara has been in the hair industry for over 13 years. She trained at BCC in Cocoa, FL as well as throughout the country. She has been involved with the National Cosmetology Association in FL, VA, MN, and IA. She went through the Michael Cole Boot Camp, has won competitions with the Midwest Masters, and worked NCA shows throughout the country. She has worked with a few notable celebrities including star professional athletes. Her first inspiration to do hair was her mother who was a hair stylist. Her favorite things about Green Peridot are the Aveda smell and the energy of the people. Her favorite Aveda product is Phomollient.

Melinda

Melinda has been in the industry on and off for 17 years. She was inspired to do hair because she had a natural knack and it was a way to enable her to go to college. She has worked as an educator and salon coach for Redken, Sebastian and Aveda. She loves to work with runway and fashion. Melinda loves the creative energy everyone has together at Green Peridot. Her favorite product is Universal Styling Creme on coarse hair.

Brittney

Brittney has been in the business for 4 years and was trained at Pivot Point Academy. She got started in the industry because she was never satisifed with her own salon experiences. She wanted the ability to help others feel beautiful. Brittney loves the family atmosphere at Green Peridot. Her favorite Aveda product is Air Control, and she can't live without her flat iron.

Shayna

Shayna has been in the industry for 3 years and was trained at ITS Academy on Beauty. She was inspired by her hair stylist who always did a great job! She loves how welcoming the environment is at Green Peridot and she loves the owners. Her favorite styling product is Light Element Smoothing Fluid, and she can not live without Mascara.

Jed

Jed has 3 years of experience in the industry and was trained at Paul Mitchell: The School in Orlando. His inspiration to do hair came from the fact that he had to do his sisters' hair growing up, he is an expert at braiding, twisting and knotting little girls' hair thanks to them. According to Jed, Aveda's Blue Malva conditioner saves the day everytime. His favorite thing about Green Peridot is the fact that he has copious amounts of coffee at his finger tips. One thing he believes he couldn't live without would be a mirror.

Debbie

Debbie began her career in the industry in 1984 at the National Beauty School in Richardson, TX. Her inspiration to do hair was her mother. Debbie says, “My mother always wanted to do hair. Instead she worked two jobs to get me through. She knew how much I would love it.” Debbie took a break in 1991, but she couldn’t stay away! She returned to the chair in 2006. She loves Green Peridot because of the ability to grow in her profession and of course, her clients. Her favorite Aveda product is Damage Control.

Tyler

Tyler started in the industry one year ago after training at Redken. He was inspired to do hair when he met his two best friends, who went to Redken and also worked at Aveda Salons. He loves Green Peridot because of the great location. Tyler’s favorite Aveda products are the Green Science cleanser and face cream.

Jordan

Jordan is a fresh face in the industry after completing her training with Aveda Institute Minneapolis last year. Jordan was first inspired to do hair after a stint at Aveda in Stonebriar Mall. “Giving guests little style touch ups really ignited my passion for hair.” She loves working at Green Peridot because of all the talented people he works with. Her favorite Aveda Product is defining Whip. She claims, "It gives fine, limp hair INCREDIBLE texture.”

Tim

Tim graduated from Paul Mitchell two years ago. He was inspired by his mother to start a career in the industry because of all times she made him braid her hair. He loves Green Peridot because of the quality of the salon and the experience. Tim’s favorite Aveda products are the Dry Remedy shampoo and conditioner.

Sandra

Known as the client connoisseur, queen of scheduling, and front desk liaison, a day at Green Peridot would not be complete without encountering Sandra Shepard. Her up-to-the-minute fashion expertise is solicited by most, partly due to her EXTENSIVE collection of fashion magazines. However, as Daniel’s chic assistant and MOM, she is always on target with what is needed in fashion, and in the salon. Her always cheerful persona cannot be mistaken, whether in the salon or on the phone with her welcoming southern accent. Her southern hospitality, coupled with her flair for fashion, always leaves each Green Peridot guest with a blissful smile in anticipation for their next visit!

Ebonie

Ebonie always welcomes our Green Peridot guests with a bright smile and helpful attitude. She is our ray of sunshine at the front desk.
